Stéphane DUGIT, a former top-level sportsman and climbing course setter, is a key figure at VOLX CLIMBING. Drawing on his experience, he is constantly creating new holds and shapes, inspired by grip, technical gesture and pure movement. His creations are technical, varied, graphic and visual, meeting the expectations of openers and climbers alike.
A history rooted in climbing
Inspiring Origins
The name VOLX has its roots in a small village in the Lubéron region, famous for its cliff which, in the 80s and 90s, became a meeting place for visionary climbers. These pioneers transformed the crag into a laboratory of movement, where innovative moves were invented, placing VOLX at the heart of the development of high-level climbing with one of the first French 8c climbs.
The birth of VOLX CLIMBING
VOLX CLIMBING was founded in 1996 in the north-west of the Lyon region. It quickly established itself as one of the world's leading manufacturers of climbing holds. Since then, we've designed thousands of models, meeting climbers' expectations in terms of both grip and design. Nature, rock, movement and competition are our main sources of inspiration.

Today, over 70% of our sales are made abroad. We supply holds to climbing wall manufacturers, worldwide and French distributors, private climbing gyms and local authorities. Thanks to our fast turnaround times and proximity to our customers, we optimise our logistics to meet their needs quickly and efficiently, reducing unnecessary costs and CO2 emissions.
